A few notes about me, Tony Hallinan.
My passion for guitar was born due to the fact that I was always involved in music thanks to my family while being guided into actually starting to play this instrument at the age of 6. By the age of 14 I have achieved grade 8 in classical guitar, and started performing as a session guitarist
To subsidize my emerging career, I started teaching guitar and experimented with jazz, blues and rock, quickly learning note for note solos as material for my students, many of which went on to work professionally.
Developing into a composer with an ear for a catchy melody, the fire in my solos and improvised material got me working on many commercial sessions over the years, as well as numerous elements for network television.
Elements of my style are reminiscent of Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Gary Moore, Brian May, Eddie Van Halen, Paul Gilbert and Jeff Beck.
My most recent credits include composing and playing music for ‘Friends’- the top American sitcom (over 40 episodes), the feature film ‘Evita’ starring Madonna, ‘The Boondock Saints’ (William Defoe), ‘Ghosts of the Past’ (Whoopi Goldberg), ‘Team America’ and ‘The Ricky Lake Show’.
In addition, my compositions are frequently used in extreme sports and motoring television shows worldwide. To-date I have composed, recorded, produced and released 8 guitar instrumental albums for TV anf films for EMI Records, BMG Records and Carlin Music International, while being endorsed by Blade Guitars and Elixir Strings.
I am currently working on a new album of rock guitar compositions for imminent commercial release, aspiring to perform live in the USA and Japan.
I am available for song writing, production, recording. If you would like to discuss a film, television or other production / venture I would invite you to
contact me to discuss how I can help.
